Song Requests
Allow your audience to request songs from your repertoire.
If you enable Song Requests in your gig configuration, a "Requests" tab appears on the audience page. This is the primary way for your audience to interact with your song list, drawn from whichever songbook you assign as the "Request Songbook".
Request a Song
The main part of this tab is the "Request a Song" card, which contains a searchable list of songs from the songbook you assigned to the gig. This list is presented as a clean, flat list for quick browsing.
- Browsing & Searching: Users can scroll through the list or use the search bar to find a specific song or artist. The list can also be sorted by song title or artist.
- Tag Filtering: If your songs have tags (like "High Energy", "Ballad", or "Classic Rock"), users can click on these tags at the top of the list to instantly filter the repertoire.
- Making a Request: By clicking the "Request" button, a user adds their "vote" for that song. The button will change to "Requested" to indicate their request has been logged and to prevent duplicate requests from the same person.
- Paid Requests: If you've enabled the "Require payment to request a song" option in your gig settings, the button will show the price. Clicking it will take the user through a secure payment process powered by Stripe. The request is only submitted after a successful payment.
Requested Songs List
If you've checked "Allow users to see requested songs list" in the gig configuration, a "Requested Songs" card will also appear. This creates a social, interactive experience for the audience.
- Real-time Popularity: This list shows all the songs that have been requested so far, sorted by the number of requests (votes). This gives everyone a live look at what songs are trending with the crowd.
- Encouraging Engagement: Seeing what's popular can encourage other audience members to request the same songs, giving you a clear idea of what the crowd wants to hear most. As an admin, this gives you valuable, real-time feedback.
Song Suggestions
If you've enabled "Enable Song Suggestions" for the gig, the audience can also suggest songs that aren't in your songbook. These are collected band-wide on the Suggestions page, where you can review them and add popular ones to your Repertoire.
