Repertoire

Your band's master catalog — every song you know, with its details entered just once.

The Repertoire is the single source of truth for song data: title, artist, tags, and any custom info you want to track (key, BPM, charts, etc.). Songbooks then reference songs from this catalog — so editing a song's title or tags here updates it everywhere it's used, instead of having to fix it in every songbook individually.

Adding Songs

Add Song: Opens a form for the song's title, artist, tags, and any custom properties you've defined.
Import CSV: Bulk-add songs from a spreadsheet, or bulk-update the songs you already have. See Importing a CSV below.

Importing a CSV

Click Import CSV, then upload a file or paste CSV text. The first row names the columns; names are case-insensitive. The panel previews every row before anything is saved. Download template in the panel gives you a CSV with every column it reads, your song properties included, and an example row showing the format of each.

Required: title, artist.
Optional: tags (comma-separated), bpm (a number), genre, energyLevel (a number), mood.
Your song properties: a column named like one of your custom properties fills it in. Text and URL take the cell as written, Number takes a number, Date takes YYYY-MM-DD, Select takes the name of one of its options, and Checkbox takes the names of the checked items separated by commas (the checked set replaces the song's, so items not listed become unchecked). Only File properties can't be imported. A cell that doesn't fit (a word in a number column, a name that isn't an option or item) is left as it is and listed in the preview.
New songs only: isNew, requestPrice, karaokePriceIndividual, karaokePriceGroup.

A row whose title and artist match a song you already have, ignoring capitals and extra spaces, updates that song while Update existing songs that match by title & artist is checked (it is by default). Below it, the panel lists each column of your file that can update a song, every one checked to start; uncheck a column (say, tags) to leave it as it is on your existing songs. New songs always take every column. Each checked column replaces the song's value; tags are replaced, not added to. An empty cell or a column the file doesn't have leaves that field as it is, so an import never clears anything, and title and artist never change. Songs that are only similar ("All 4 You" and "All For You") don't match: the row adds a new song. The preview marks each row New, Update (with the columns it changes), No changes, or Skip when the checkbox is off or no column is checked; a row that repeats an earlier row of the same file is skipped. Exporting your repertoire as CSV gives you a file you can edit and import back.

Custom Properties

Click "Manage Properties" to define your own band-wide fields for every song — for example "Key", "BPM", "Lead Singer", or a "Soundcheck Ready" checklist. Each property can be one of several types:

Text — free-form text.
Number — numeric values.
Select — choose one option from a list you define.
URL — a link (e.g. to a YouTube reference video).
Date — a date picker.
Checkbox / Checklist — a single checkbox, or a configurable checklist of items.
File — attach a file (e.g. a chart or lyric sheet).

Once defined, these properties appear as columns in the table view and as fields in the song edit form for every song. Use the column-visibility menu in table view to show only the properties you care about right now.

Member Charts

Each song can have per-member chart files attached — for example, a horn player's part vs. a guitarist's chord chart for the same song. Open a song and use the chart upload section to attach a file for a specific band member; only that member (and admins) will see it listed against the song.

Lyrics

Each song can hold its lyrics. Open a song and type or paste them into the Lyrics box at the bottom of the panel. Every line break and blank line is kept, so verses and choruses stay apart. Pasted text comes in as plain text, one line per line, so fonts and colors from a lyrics website never come along.

The toolbar above the box adds bold, italic, and underline, and the section label button turns a line into a small heading, like Verse 1 or Chorus. Click it again to turn the heading back into a plain line. Keyboard shortcuts for bold, italic, and underline work as usual. Lyrics can be up to 50,000 characters, including formatting.

In the Repertoire table, a song with lyrics shows a small lyrics icon next to its title. Click it to read the lyrics in large type, without opening the song's editor. To remove a song's lyrics, clear the box and save.

Everyone in the band, including subs and crew, can read lyrics from the Repertoire table, and only owners and admins can change them. Your audience can read them too: on your audience page, a song with lyrics shows a Lyrics button in the song list and in the karaoke queue, so singers can look over the words before they come up. Deleting a song deletes its lyrics too.

Table & Card Views

Switch between a compact table (good for scanning a large catalog and showing custom property columns) and a card view (good for browsing on mobile). Use the search bar to filter by title, artist, or tag.

Editing & Deleting

Editing a song's title, artist, tags, or custom properties here updates it everywhere it appears — across every songbook. Deleting a song from the repertoire removes it entirely, including from any songbooks that reference it. If you only want to remove a song from one songbook (without deleting it from your catalog), do that from the Songbooks page instead.
