Setlists

Here you can create detailed setlists for planning your shows and rehearsals. A setlist can be attached to a gig or a rehearsal so everyone knows exactly what's being played.

Managing Setlists

The left-hand panel lists every setlist your band has created. From there you can:

• Create a new, empty setlist.
• Duplicate an existing setlist — handy for building a new show off a previous one.
• Delete a setlist you no longer need.
• Sort the list (e.g., by name or most recently updated) to find what you're looking for faster.

On smaller screens, tap the list icon in the toolbar to open this panel.

Building a Setlist

Select a setlist to open it in the builder. The "Song Catalog" panel on the right shows every song in your band's repertoire — across all your songbooks — ready to add. A setlist isn't tied to any single songbook, so you can pull in any song your band knows.

• Click a song in the catalog (or drag it in) to add it to the setlist. Songs already in the setlist show a checkmark.
• Use the "Add" menu to insert other item types alongside your songs:
  • Set / Column Break — marks the start of a new set (e.g., "Set 1", "Set 2"). You can check "Hide Label" if you just want a visual divider without printing a heading.
  • Note — a sticky-note style reminder for the band (e.g., "Instrumental break", "Talk to crowd").
  • Custom Item — a free-text entry for something that isn't in your repertoire (e.g., a one-off cover or a guest sit-in song).
• Drag any item — songs, breaks, notes, or custom items — using the grip handle to reorder your setlist.
• If a song was removed from your repertoire after being added to a setlist, it will show as "[Unlinked Song]".

AbleSet Integration

AbleSet is a live show-control app that follows along with your setlist during a performance. Toggle "AbleSet" in the top-right of the Setlist Builder to turn on AbleSet-specific options for the active setlist.

With AbleSet mode enabled, admins can click the AbleSet icon on any song to open its AbleSet settings:

• Stop After Song: tells AbleSet to pause playback after this song instead of continuing automatically. Songs with this enabled show a "Stop" badge in the builder.
• Delay After Song: when "Stop After Song" is on, sets how many seconds AbleSet waits before it's ready to continue.
• Description: optional notes for this song that appear in AbleSet (e.g., tuning or staging cues).
• Song Color: assign a color to the song, shown as a colored border in the builder and used to color-code the song in AbleSet.

Once you're happy with your setlist, use the Export menu and choose "AbleSet JSON" (only available while AbleSet mode is on) to download a file you can import directly into AbleSet.

Exporting

The "Export" button offers a few formats depending on your needs:

• AbleSet JSON: a setlist file ready to import into AbleSet, including any Stop, Delay, Description, and Color settings. Only shown when AbleSet mode is enabled.
• CSV: a spreadsheet-friendly file listing each item's number, type, title/content, and artist.
• PDF: a printable version of your setlist. The export dialog gives you options for page orientation and the number of columns, allowing you to format the printout to fit on a music stand or tablet.
